Do you really know how to use an electronic saw?

As the first step in the production process, the importance of cutting is self-evident. It is like the cornerstone of a building. Only when this step is handled properly can a solid foundation be laid for the following production steps. If there is a problem in the cutting step, the subsequent steps such as edge banding and drilling will be difficult to proceed smoothly. Therefore, we must pay full attention to the key step of cutting, ensure its accuracy, and lay a solid foundation for the success of the entire production process.

01 Common problems in cutting

During the cutting process, we often encounter some common problems. First, there is the so-called “big and small heads” phenomenon, which refers to the fact that one side of the board is larger and the other side is smaller, resulting in the size not meeting the regulations. If this happens, it will seriously affect the overall quality of the board.

Secondly, there may be a “collapsed edge” problem, which refers to the cracking of the paint film on the cutting surface of the board, which not only affects the appearance of the board, but also may weaken its structural strength. In addition, another common problem is “cross-pressure”, which usually occurs at the edge of the board and will also have an adverse effect on the quality of the board.
The above problems, whether about the size or appearance of the board, require us to pay enough attention in the cutting process. Once neglected, there may be a situation where the quality of the batch does not meet the standard, which will not only cause production waste, but also may cause management errors.

02 Main factors affecting the cutting effect

The key factors that determine the cutting effect of the electronic cutting saw include the design and quality of the guide rail, the smoothness of the saw car operation, and the alignment of the large and small saw blades.

Firstly, the guide rail, as the core component of the electronic saw, directly impacts the balance and straightness of the saw carriage. A hard and flat guide rail ensures good straightness in the sawed board. Insufficient hardness may cause deformation, affecting cutting accuracy.

Secondly, the smoothness of the saw carriage is crucial. Inspectors should carefully examine the wear status of the saw carriage shaft and copper wheel. Wear on the copper wheel affects the saw carriage, impacting cutting performance. Finally, aligning large and small saw blades in a straight line is essential for consistent cuts. Misalignment leads to inconsistent results in material cutting.Operators must monitor these factors to maintain accurate and stable cutting.

Finally, whether the large and small saw blades are in the same straight line is also a key factor affecting the material cutting effect. When the sliding table saw is working, the small saw is responsible for opening the circuit and the large saw is responsible for cutting. If the two saw blades are not in the same position, the cuts will be inconsistent, and the result of the material cutting can be imagined.

When using and maintaining the electronic material saw, special attention should be paid to these aspects to ensure the accuracy and stability of the material cutting effect.
